Upon arrival at Limefield House, I was pleasantly greeted with a warm pot of tea and biscuits in their beautiful dining room. The hosts were friendly and provided excellent service throughout my stay. The breakfast served was delicious and served in a room filled with antiques, adding a charming touch to the experience. The mansion itself was breathtaking, with spacious rooms and a cozy lounge perfect for winding down after a long day. Despite some initial trouble finding the property, the wonderful experience during my stay made up for any inconvenience. Charming location, cozy building. Friendly hosts strike perfect balance of hospitality and privacy. Welcoming to well-behaved dogs. Restored with interesting antiques, silverware, and Chinese vases. Lovely sitting room, complimentary Scotch. Very comfortable twin room with en-suite bathroom. High standard, feels like home. Staff helpful and attentive, good food served. Top-notch facilities, enjoyed unwinding to smooth jazz with a wee dram. Will be back.

I had a wonderful stay at a charming and cozy guest house. The welcoming atmosphere made me feel right at home. The breakfast was absolutely delicious and started my day off on a high note. I also loved the stunning Victorian bath in my room, it was a perfect way to unwind. While the WiFi in my suite was a bit slow, I found solace in the magnificent drawing room where the WiFi was strong and plentiful. The owners did a fantastic job of taking care of me and made me feel like an honored guest in their beautiful home. I highly recommend this lovely guest house.

The private walled grounds of Limefield House Guest House offer a tranquil and secure setting for a relaxing stay. With very few rooms, it ensures a quiet and intimate atmosphere. The breakfast room is spacious and there is also a lovely garden to enjoy. The comfortable and non-squeaky bed provided a restful night's sleep, and there is ample parking right outside the front door.

Limefield House is a hidden gem with excellent value for money. The room was spacious and clean, and I loved the beautiful Victorian bath with a view of the treetops. The location was great, close to Livingston village, and the staff treated me like a house guest in their stunning home.

I wish there were more restaurant options within walking distance for dinner. Breakfast offerings could be improved.

We had a wonderful stay at this charming country house. the staff greeted us warmly and even offered us a coffee tray in the cozy lounge. the house itself is a beautiful old building with lots of character and well-maintained features. We loved the eclectic art collection on the walls and the soothing classical music playing in the drawing room. the highlight of our evening was enjoying complimentary drinks, including beer and whiskey, in the elegant drawing room. the service was great and the atmosphere was a refreshing change from generic corporate hotels.

One thing to note is that there was no shower facility in the room, only a roll top bath. It didn't affect our overall experience much, but having a shower option would have made it perfect.

The welcome was warm and the staff were friendly. the room was well-equipped with toiletries and plenty of coffee and milk. the setting of the hotel was beautiful and peaceful.

The WiFi in the room was not very strong. the confusion about the entrance was frustrating, as there were two entrances and it wasn't clearly marked which one to use.
